SUMMER 2013 SWIM LESSONS

June 17th - September 1st

 

Our summer session is 11-weeks and

meets once a week for 1/2 an hour.

Parent Baby

For toddlers 4 months to 16 months

 

Parent Tot

For toddlers 17 months to 36 months

 

 

Advanced Parent Tot

For toddlers 30 months to 35 months

Able to put their eyes in for 5-10 seconds and glide 3-5 feet with assistance

**Need instructor permission to register for class**

 

Basic Water Safety

For beginners 3 years and older

Working on putting their eyes in the water and swimming 5 feet by themselves

(If they cannot do these two skills, this is the level they should start in)

 

Basic Water Safety/Water Safety Levels (OLDER KIDS)

For beginners 8 years and older

This class is designed for kids 8 and older who are still working on getting over any fear of the water, swimming 5 feet with their eyes in, and kicking on their back 15 feet independently. If they are WS2 and up, this is NOT the class for them. The teacher will work at their individual level.

 

Water Safety One

Able to put eyes in whenever asked and swim 5 feet byself

Working on rollovers, kicks on back, diving, and U-turns

 

Water Safety Two

Able to rollover and kick on back 15 feet independently, sit dive and swim back to wall, dive to bottom of pool. Working on rollovers and kicking 17 yards byself, starfish float, and straight leg kicks

 

Beginning Stroke One

Able to do independent rollovers 17 yards, independent kick on back 17 yards, and starfish float

Introduction to backstroke, freestyle, and elementary backstroke

 

Beginning Stroke Two

Able to swim 4 lengths backstroke byself

Working on 4 lengths freestyle with bilateral breathing byself

 

Stroke

Able to swim 4 lengths backstroke and freestyle

Introduction to breaststroke

 

Advanced Stroke

Able to swim 4 lengths backstroke, freestyle, and breaststroke

Introduction to butterfly and flipturns
